Gladys Juanita Henderson

Gladys Juanita Henderson, 85, of Lee County, GA, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye and Rev. Chip Gresham will officiate. Interment will follow at 3:30 PM at Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Irwinville, GA.

A native of Wilcox, County, GA, Mrs. Henderson graduated from Wilcox County High School as Valedictorian in 1943. She moved to Albany, GA in 1960 and to Leesburg, GA in 1969 and was a homemaker and member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Herman Jesse Henderson.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Jim and Kathy Henderson of Leesburg, GA, two daughters and their husbands, Deborah and Robert Haire, Jr. of Albany, GA and Lori and David Godwin of Leesburg, GA, a sister, Joanne McWhorter of Roswell, GA, seven grandchildren, Jonathan Godwin and Jennifer Godwin, Mark Henderson and his wife, Amber, Brian Henderson and his wife, Janna, and Robin Giles and her husband, Steven, all of Leesburg, GA, Robert Haire, III and his wife, Jennifer and Chris Haire and his wife, Wendy all of Albany, GA and four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kylie, Matthew and Abby.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at Mathews Funeral Home.

The family will be at the residence of Jim and Kathy Henderson, 453 GA. Hwy 195, Leesburg, GA, 31763.
