Geraldine Wilkerson Shippey, 90, of Edison, GA died Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Calhoun Co. Nursing Home in Edison, GA. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Edison United Methodist Church. Rev. Charles (Buddy) Coss will officiate. Interment will follow in Morgan Cemetery, Morgan, GA.

Born in Morgan, GA, Mrs. Shippey had resided in Edison, GA most all of her life. She was retired from Coats and Clark and was a member of Edison United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Huey Eugene Wilkerson and Ethel Hawke Wilkerson, her husband, Playol Kayton Shippey, Sr. and a granddaughter, Krystal Shippey.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Kayton Shippey and Beverly, Edison, GA and Lovick Shippey and Glenda, Albany, GA, a sister, Sally Brown and her husband Lester, Dawson, GA, a grandson, Playol Kayton Shippey, III (Adrianne) and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
