Geraldine Lowery Watts

Geraldine Lowery Watts, 86, of Albany, GA, died April 13, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Finleyson, GA, born to the late William and Ora Jones, Mrs. Watts grew up in Pulaski County, GA and attended school there. She moved to Albany, GA from Milledgeville, Ga in 1964. Mrs. Watts was the manager of Church's Fried Chicken Restaurant when it was located on North Slappey, she was also employed with Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and The Waffle House Restaurants. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie H. Watts in 2002.

Survivors include her three sons and their wives, Jimmy Lowery and Gwen of Albany, GA, Robert Watts and Lissa and Jessie Watts and Paula all of Lee County, GA., her daughter, Lisa Sheffield of Albany, GA, a brother, Delma Jones and his wife, Kay of Gray, GA and a sister-in-law, Frances Jones of Loganville, GA, ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Mathews Funeral Home.

The family will be at the residence of Jimmy and Gwen Lowery, 3812 Old Towne Court, Albany, GA, 31721.
