Geraldine H. Barronton

Geraldine H. Barronton, 90, of Albany, GA died Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM at Avalon United Methodist Church. Rev. Debbie Cone will officiate.

Born in Kannapolis, NC, Mrs. Barronton moved with her family to Albany, GA in 1940 and graduated from Albany High School in 1941. She was homemaker and an interior decorator, retiring from Miles Furniture Store. Mrs. Barronton was a member of Avalon United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Greer Barronton, and two sons, Dale Barronton and David Barronton.

Survivors include two sons, Dee Barronton of Albany, GA, Steve Barronton and his wife Pam, of Thomasville, GA, her sister Doris Boyd of Bealeton, VA, and seven grandchildren, Monica Barronton, Jeremy Barronton, Bonnie Kelly, Brittany Barronton, Beth Richards, Cameron Barronton, and Abby Evans.
