Gerald E. Stubbs, 54, of Lee Co., GA, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Mitchell Co., GA.

A native of Albany, GA, Mr. Stubbs moved to Lee Co., GA in 1989. He was employed with Oxford Construction Co. and he was a member of Chehaw Lodge # 701 F&AM and had served as past master, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, a member of the Hasan Temple and the Albany Shrine Club. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1285 and had served as past governor. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Keitha Young Cook Stubbs, Lee Co., GA, two sons, John Luther Young (Sandy), El Paso, TX, Billy Joe Cook, Jr. (Dannielle), Lee Co., GA, three daughters, Melissa Cook, Panama City, FL, Sherry King, Albany, GA, Wendy Stegall, Lee Co., GA, three brothers, Bubba Stubbs, Dawson, GA, Kelly Stubbs, Edgerton, KS, Robby Stubbs, Albany, GA, a sister, Jane Hammock, Valdosta, GA, twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
