George Leonidas Deese, Sr

George L. "Buster" Deese, Sr., 79 of Albany, GA died Friday, September 28, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Baptist Church, Worth County, GA. Rev. Tony Beach will officiate. Interment will follow in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.

A native of Worth County, GA, Mr. Deese had resided in Albany, GA most of his life. He served in the United Air Force during the Korean Conflict and retired from Albany Fire Department in 1988 after thirty years. Mr. Deese was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church and the Loyal Order of the Moose.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Deese of Springfield, MA, three daughters, Debra Brock of Albany, GA, Terry Faircloth and her husband, Tim of Lawrenceville, GA and Penny Tarleton and her husband, Bruce of Calhoun, MO, six sons, George L. Deese, Jr. and his wife, Rebecca of Deatsville, AL, John Deese of Albany, GA, Randy Deese and his wife, Stephanie of Mulberry, FL, Danny Deese of Ludowici, GA, Brian Deese and his wife Tammy of Albany, GA and Chris Deese of Albany, GA, two sisters, Willa Lou Beach of Vienna, GA and Frances Roland of Warner Robins, GA, seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Dylan Deese

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
