George Thomas (Bud) Bowman

George Thomas (Bud) Bowman, 70, of Albany, GA, died Thursday, June 12, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Eron White will officiate. Interment will follow in Cordray United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Born in Blakely, GA, Mr. Bowman had resided in Albany, GA for the past forty five years. He was a retired truck driver with Transmission Crafters and after retirement he worked with his son at B & B Construction. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcine Bowman and Myrtice White Bowman, a sister, Vaudine Nolan and his wife, Jettie Lucille Turner.

Survivors include his son, Joseph Bowman and his wife Beth, Leslie, GA, a daughter, Lynn Bowman Connell and her husband, Danny, Tifton, GA, four sisters, Jeannie Paul, Dothan, AL, Dorothy Higdon, Evergreen, AL, Patricia Palmer, Camilla, GA, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
