George Conner Allen

George Conner Allen, 84, of Leary, GA, died Sunday January 22, 2012 at Willson Hospice House.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Leary Baptist Church. Rev. John Beck and Rev. Preston Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Leary City Cemetery.

A native of Tennessee, Mr. Allen had resided in Leary, Georgia most all of his adult life. He was retired from Leary Farm Center and was a member of the Leary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Kimbrel Allen, Leary, GA, a son, Steve Allen, Leary, GA, three daughters, Joan Cheshire (James), Leary, GA, Rita Wooden (Woody), Baconton, GA, Lisha Brackin (Buddy), Leary, GA, a brother, Jimmy Allen (Beatrice), Leesburg, GA, two sisters, Annis Joiner (Robert), Leesburg, GA and Charmie Ash all of Leesburg, GA, five grandchildren, Monica Davis, David Cheshire, Jennifer Wooden, Allen Brackin and Tina Stanford and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
