Gary Michael Lush

Gary M. Lush, 62, of Cobb, GA, died Friday, June 28, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Monday at Mathews Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Lee Guerry will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Albany, GA, Gary graduated from Dougherty High School in 1970. He was employed with Smith-Gray Electric for twenty three years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cordele. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Lush.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene Van Deel Lush of Cobb, GA, two step-daughters, Allison Gilliam and her husband, Donnie of Americus, GA and Ginnette Jurgel of Forest Park, IL, two grandchildren, Aldon Gilliam and John-Michael Gilliam both of Americus, GA his mother Helen Tanner and her husband, Louie of Cobb, GA. and two sisters, Anna Lush and her friend Tonja Stevens of Avera, GA and June Forbes and her husband, Ed of Hampton, GA.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Mathews Funeral Home.
