Gail Louise Cameron, 50, of Albany, GA., died June 22, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 26, 2012 at Morningside United Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Barstow, CA, Gail has resided in Albany, GA since 1964. She attended Sylvester Elementary School, Dougherty Junior High School and Dougherty County High School. She did missionary work within the United States as well as in Ireland and did work as a lay speaker for United Methodist Churches. She became the lay pastor for Morningside United Methodist Church.

Her children described her as giving, kind, loving, grateful, giving and selfless. Gail was involved with the Junior Women's Club of Albany, Walk to Emmaus, Girl Scout Troop leader 2010-2012 for Troop 40342, a member of the Artist Guild and was involved with the Theater of Albany. Becoming a pastor of a church was always a lifelong dream for Gail. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Albany, GA.

Survivors include her two daughters, Brittney Cameron and Madison Cameron both of Albany, GA, her parents, George L'Esperance, Klamath Falls, OR and Norma Loretta L'Esperance, Albany, GA, a brother, Ray Allen L'Esperance, Milwaukie, OR, a sister, Donna L'Esperance, Albany, GA, a nephew, Carson L'Esperance and a niece, Jill Sessler both of Milwaukie, OR

The family is at the residence of Donna L'Esperance, 2801 Whispering Pines Rd., Albany, GA.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
