Mr. Franklin Delano Hinson, known fondly as “Del”, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024. Del was born on February 9, 1934, in Albany, Georgia to the late Bennie and Flossie Etheridge Hinson.

Del retired from the United States Navy after serving 20 years as an Electrician’s Mate First Class. Del was the recipient of the Good Conduct Award for his exemplary service. Although a man of few words, Del had a deep love for God, his family and his country.

In his later years, Del developed an appreciation for wrestling and indulged in watching western movies.

In addition to his parents, Del was also preceded in death by his brothers, Randolph Hinson and William L. Hinson, and his sister, Faye Murphy.

Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Sandra H. Jordan (Ron) of Summerville, SC and his nieces and nephews.
