Mrs. Frances Deanna Daughtry, 70, of Albany, died Tuesday, February 02, 2016 at the Willson Hospice House.

Her Celebration of Life service will be held 2 PM Friday at Mathews Funeral Home with interment in Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Joe Poitevent and Rev. Larry Daughtry, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 1 to 2 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.

Mrs. Daughtry was born February 10, 1945 in Mitchell County to the late John Wheeler Davis and Mabel Irene Poitevent Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Virginia.

Mrs. Daughtry was a homemaker and was always known as a kind and gentle lady by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed but not forgotten.

Mrs. Daughtry is survived by her husband James W. Daughtry, Albany; their two precious daughters, Pamela Denise Drew, Albany, Angie Marie Tickle and husband Lonnie, Tampa, FL. She is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Julia Marie Foote and husband Ryan, Tampa, FL, Morgan Deanna Drew, Albany, James Logan Walker, USMC, Cherry Point, NC.

Mrs. Daughtry had two special cousins, Carolyn Nichols and husband Steve, Albany, DeLaine Brazel, Newton. She wanted all of her cousins to know that she loved them very much. Special Aunts and Uncle, Joe and Virginia Poitevent, Camilla and Nora Fudge, Baconton.

Special nephews, John Austin and wife Karen, Albany, Tommy Austin, Atlanta and Larry Daughtry, Jr. Brunswick.

A special thanks to all the nurses and staff at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and the Willson Hospice House, they are very special.
