Floye Mae Ziglar

Floye Mae Ziglar, a resident of Cordele, Georgia since 2021, and a longtime resident of Lecanto, Florida passed away February 13, 2023, and went to join her husband and true love, William Terry Ziglar who preceded her in death in 2020.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.  Flo loved painting, traveling, crocheting, cooking for family gatherings, and visiting friends. 

Flo, age 96, was born to Wes and Mattie Ellison February 12, 1927 in Loxley, Alabama. 

Flo is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brothers, Othel, Harvell, Charlie and Adrian.

 She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: James and Julie Wade of Llano, Texas, Tony and Linda Wade of Fairhope, Alabama; her daughters and sons-in-law: Benita and Randy Matthews of Homosassa, Florida and Joyce and Steve Williams of Cordele, Georgia.  Grandchildren: Vicki (David) Cherry, Tammi (Sam) Cole, Jonathan (Rebecca) Williams, John (Holley) Wade, Daniel (Rachel) Wade, Karissa, Charlie (Alex) Wade, seventeen great grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held prior to Flo and Terry’s ashes being interned at Andersonville National Cemetery at Andersonville, GA.  In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in remembrance of Floye Mae Ziglar to Serenity Hospice Foundation, 1111 Hillcrest Parkway, Dublin, GA 31021.
