Flora Ethel McMillan

Flora Ethel McMillan, 88, of Albany, GA died February 13, 2012 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 PM at Byne Memorial Baptist Church. Dr. Matthew Nance will officiate. The deacons will serve as active pallbearers. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

A native of Leslie, GA, Mrs. McMillan grew up in Albany, GA and graduated Valedictorian from Albany High School. She was a homemaker and retired from the Pre School Program at Byne Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. McMillan was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church and the Adult One Ladies Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold N. McMillan and a daughter, Dr. Patricia Walls.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Flora Jean and Fred Summerlin of Leesburg, GA, three grandchildren, Aubrey and Elysia Summerlin of Honolulu, HI, Angie and Joshua Sarno of Suwanee, GA and Jason Hampton of Atlanta, GA and five great-grandchildren, Rachel and Lily Summerlin of Honolulu, HI, Will and Polly Sarno of Suwanee, GA and Sarah Hampton of Atlanta, GA.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Byne Memorial Baptist Church.

The family is at the residence of Flora Jean and Fred Summerlin, 412 Middle Road, Leesburg, GA, 31763.
