Fernando Solis

Fernando Solis, 95, longtime resident of Albany, GA, died March 16, 2013 at Dawson Health and Rehabilitation Center. His remains have been cremated and no services will be held.

A native of Brownsville, TX, Mr. Solis, a veteran of World War II and the Korean War , served in both the United States Air Force and the United States Army. He moved to Albany, GA in 1947 and retired from Civil Service at MCLB, Albany.

Mr. Solis was preceded in death by his wife, Helen in 1989. Survivors include his children, Santy F. Solis and his wife, Sandi of Albany, GA and a daughter, Sandy S. Hockensmith of Crystal River, FL. Grandchildren, Chad Powell (Pam); Ty Solis (Missy); and Brooke Solis Kierce (Brandon) and seven great grandchildren.
