Fannie E. "Nell" Carr

Fannie Ellen (Nell) Carr, 91, of Albany, GA died Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Terry Siniard will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Lyons, GA in Toombs County, Mrs. Carr had resided in Albany, GA for the past sixty- seven years moving from Doerun, GA. She was retired from Coats and Clark Thread Mill and was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Lee Spell and Lizzie Sellers Spell, her husband, Edward E. Carr, brothers, Framp Melton, Benny Melton, Buddy McDaniels, sisters, Beulah Mae (Boots) West, Mary Lee Hall, and her daughter-in-law, Gayle Hall.

Survivors include her son, Paul Hall, Albany, GA, two grandchildren, Eric Hall and his wife Sedida and Heather Phillips, great-grandchildren, Joseph Hall, Caleb Phillips, Jacob Phillips, Abigail Phillips and Chloe Phillips, and her brother, Cass Spell and his wife Novella, Americus, GA. Aunt Nell was loved by all of her nieces and nephews and will be missed by all.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Mathews Funeral Home.
