Eva Mae Allen

Eva Mae Allen, 80, of Sylvetser, GA, died December 2, 2016 at Pruitt Palmyra Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Albany, GA, born to the late Nick and Mary Spillers, Mrs. Allen grew up in Lee County, GA and moved back to Albany, GA in the 1950's. She was employed with Lykes Brothers Packing Company and was a homemaker. Mrs. Allen moved Worth County, GA in 1996 and was a former member of Sunnyside Baptist Church and was currently a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Edward Earl Allen, her husband, Garnett Andrew (G.A.) Allen and her siblings, John Spillers, Sam Spillers and Lucy Spillers.

Survivors include her daughter and her husband, Judy and Allen Hatcher of Albany, GA, her grandchildren, Kim Hancock and her husband, Patrick of Sylvester, GA, Andy Hatcher and his wife, Kristin of Columbus, GA, Steven Allen and his wife, Kristina of Troy, AL and Michael Allen of Babson Park, FL, her great-grandchildren, Reese Hancock, Owen Hancock, Taylor Hatcher, Avery Hatcher and Alexis Allen, her sister, Mable Spillers Daniel and her husband, Bobby of Albany, GA.

The family is at the residence of Judy and Allen Hatcher.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at Mathews Funeral Home.
