Ethelyn Green Runge, 95, of Albany died Tuesday, April 12 at her residence.
Her memorial service will be 11 AM, Saturday, April 16 at Byne Memorial Church
A native of Madison, Wisconsin, Mrs. Runge had resided in Albany 8 years, and prior to that had lived in St. Petersburg, FL &vicinity some 53 years. She was a joyful, Spirit-filled Christian, serving as a caregiver to her own family and others God sent her way. During World War II, Mrs Runge worked in various military bases, and after this she invested time in family and homemaking. She was an avid grower of orchids and traveled world wide as an enthusiast.
She was preceded in death by her husband DeLyle Runge, who died six years to the day before her, and by a son Robert Runge.
Survivors include her daughter, Willa Robbins, Albany; son, Richard Runge and wife Jane, Albany; grandchildren, Jennifer Bekkers and her husband Jos; Jonathan Runge and his wife Kate; sister, Joann Wingler; great grandchildren, Brooke, Bianca, Nick, Flint, Josie, Miles; special friend, Karen Vonier; special caregiver, Susie Thomas and 5 other devoted care takers.
