Ethel Ward

Mrs. Ethel "Sally" Ward, 90 of Albany died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Bethany Hospice in Auburn, AL.

Her funeral service will be 4 PM Saturday at Mathews Funeral Home with interment in Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home.

A native of Auburn, AL, Mrs. Ward had lived in Albany for the past 54 years and was retired from Belk' Department Store and was the Manager at MCLB Exchange Store. She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church Fidelis Sunday School Class.

In her free time Mrs. Ward volunteered with the Navy Relief and Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband James Ward, USMC (retired), parents, Lee Andrew King and Ethel Baker King, brothers, Pete King and Cliff King.

She is survived by her children, Sue Ward Still, Bethlehem, GA, Don Murphy, Bethlehem, GA, Doris Ward Watts (Bennett), Albany, GA, Doug Ward (Shirley), Opelika, AL; grandchildren, Stacy Bluse (Jim), Bethlehem, GA, Sandy Venezia (Joe), Lake Worth, FL, Darren Keaton, Lawrenceville, GA, Teresa Goode (Tracy), Albany, Michelle Ward, Pass Christian, MS, Katie Ward-Fulton (Josh), Long Beach, MS, Brian Ward, Sylvester, GA, Taylor Ward, Opelika, AL and seven great grandchildren, Steven Bluse, Jonathan Bluse, Abby Goode, Emma Venezia, Christian Venezia, Jackson Bluse and Eli Fulton.
The family will be at the residence of Bennett and Doris Watts, 2704 Davenport Dr. Albany, GA 31721
