Ethel Marie Barton

Ethel Marie Barton, 58, of Albany, GA, died May 2, 2014 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Marie was a native of Cherry Point, NC and as a Marine's daughter, she lived in many stations. She had lived in Albany, GA since 1968 and graduated from Dougherty High School in 1974. Marie was employed with Pace Burke, Inc and was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #1285.

Survivors include her husband, Luke Shipley of Albany, GA, her two sons, Matthew Barton of Freeport, FL and Shane Barton of Albany, GA, her mother, Marion E. Farr of Albany, GA, her brothers, Jamie Farr and his wife, Lori of Lake Blackshear, GA and Danny Farr of Albany, GA, a sister, Maggie Taylor of Albany, GA, three nephews, Dustin Taylor, Darick Taylor and Ryan Farr and a niece, Taylor Farr. She was preceded in death by her father, James Harold Farr. She is also survived by her loving dog, Si.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday at Mathews Funeral Home.
