Estell Cribbs Rogers

Estelle Cribbs Rogers, 91, of Albany, GA died Saturday, June 3, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. William Collins will officiate. Entombment will follow in Crown Hill Mausoleum.

A native of Clyde, GA, Mrs. Rogers had resided in Savannah, GA prior to moving to Albany, GA in 1964. She was a member of Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church and a member of the Hancock Sunday School Class where she taught for a number of years. Mrs. Rogers worked in the Dougherty County School System form 1967 through 1991 where she was an Elementary School secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Rustin (Rusty) Rogers, Sr. and two brothers, David Cribbs and Cecil Cribbs.

Survivors include a son, James (Rusty) Rogers, Jr. (his wife Mickie), Lake Blackshear, GA, a daughter, Jan Medlin (her husband Jim) of Albany, GA, two sisters, Yulee Butler, El Paso, TX, Gladys Freeburn (her husband Paul), Gary, IN. her grandchildren, Rebecca Rogers, Sarasota, FL, Jennifer Rogers, Lee County GA., and John Medlin, Atlanta, GA and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
