Emma Jane Wood

Emma Jane Wood, 89, of Albany, GA, died May 27, 2013 at Willson Hospice House. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. No formal funeral services will be held.
Born in Washington D.C., Mrs. Wood had resided in Albany since 1957. She was an active supporter of the Albany Happy House and a board member of the Albany Humane Society. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Clayton E. Wood and a daughter Lynda Wood Zolomy.
Survivors include her daughters Robin Leslie Wood and Shelley Wood Parker both of Albany, GA, a son Gary Phillip Wood of Albany, GA, three granddaughters Brooke Martin of Atlanta, GA, Chelsea Parker of Albany, GA, and Sarah Parker Saitama, Japan.
