Emma Mae Prescott

Emma Mae Prescott, 87, of Albany, GA, died May 17, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Friday at 4:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Fr. Raymond G. Levreault will officiate. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Sylvester, GA. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

A native of Alexandria, LA, Mrs. Prescott graduated from Gorum High School. She married Rayford Eugene Prescott and was a military wife and mother for many years. They moved to Albany, GA in 1963 where her husband was stationed at Turner Field. She was employed as a nurse with Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rayford Eugene Prescott, a daughter, Kathleen Donna Prescott and a son, Robert Louis Prescott.

Survivors include a daughter, Marlynn Prescott of Albany, GA, three sons, Ronald Ray (Ada) Prescott of Cartersville, GA, David Eugene Prescott of Albany, GA and Michael (Donna) Prescott of Putney, GA, six grandchildren, Emily Prescott, Heather (Craig) Hawkins, Johnny Ray Sirmons, Jason Cook, Michael Gray and Kelly Ann Prescott and three great grandchildren, Charlie Hawkins, Landon Sirmons and Kaitlyn Hawkins.
