Edwin "Ed" Pinney, 89, of Albany died Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Willson Hospice House.
His funeral service will be Monday 3 PM at Mathews Funeral Home with interment in Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Chris Turner and Rev. Terry Mack will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday one hour prior to the service.
A native of Stafford, CT, Mr. Pinney had lived in Albany since 1966. He worked and retired from the autodin at MCLB.
Mr. Pinney was a Navy veteran, member of Living Waters Church of God and was an avid stamp collector and golfer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lucy Mathews Pinney, and two sisters, Eleanor Pinney and Barbara Burnham.
Survivors include his wife, Willene Allegood Pinney; daughters, Linda Faye Owen and Joanne Jamison; son Carl Davis (Gerri Lynn) all of Albany, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; special nephew Travis Hancock and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will be at the residence of Mrs. Joanne Jamison, 1603 Westfield Ct. Albany, GA.
The family of Mr. Pinney asks that memorials be sent to the Willson Hospice House, 320 Foundation Lane, Albany, GA 31721.
