Edna Florence Smith

Edna Florence Smith, 87, of Albany, GA, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Damon Fountain will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Bainbridge, GA, Mrs. Smith was raised in Donalsonville, GA. She and her late husband of fifty three years, Mr. John Edward Smith, moved to Albany in 1976. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers and gardening.

Survivors include two daughters Teresa (Glenn) Miller and Margaret Smith both of Albany, GA, five grandchildren Clint (Carrie) Latham of Lawrenceville, GA, Andrea (Nicholas) Hauck of Albany, GA, Lindsey (Matthew) Bishop of Cordele, GA, Michael (Amanda) Miller and Macy Miller both of Cordele, GA, two great-grandchildren Cole Mitchell and Charles Bishop both of Cordele, GA and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
