Edna (Jean) Woods Gunn

Edna (Jean) Woods Gunn, 86, of Albany, GA, died August 29, 2017 at Wynfield Park Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church.  Norman Denny will officiate.  The Men’s Bible Class will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. 

A native of Columbus, GA, born to the late Elmer M. and Bessie Woods, Mrs. Gunn grew up and graduated from Jordan Vocational High School.  She moved to Albany, GA in 1957, where she was a homemaker and was employed with Sowega Electric Co.  Mrs. Gunn was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and the WMU. She was preceded in death by her son, John Martin Gunn.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-five years, Martin L. Gunn of Albany, GA, a daughter and her husband, Nancy and Scot McComb of Forsyth, GA, a son and his wife, Brian R. and Sara Gunn of Ormond-By-the-Sea, FL, a brother and his wife, John R. and Pat Woods of Orlando, FL and three grandchildren, Lauren McComb of Forsyth, GA, Lawson McComb of Valdosta, GA. And Robert S. Smith of Tallahassee, Fl., and many nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral at Calvary Baptist Church, 1211 13th Ave., Albany, GA, 31707.
