Edgar David Trea

Edgar David (Pops) Trea, 71, of Albany, GA, died Monday, October 22, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 4:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.

A native of Cass City, MI, Mr. Trea had resided in Albany, GA since 1972 moving from Standish-Sterling, MI. He was formerly employed with Flint River Textiles and was a former member of the Moose Club.

Survivors include his lifelong companion, Cindy Hart of Albany, GA, three daughters, Marilyn Elder of Bay City, MI, Arlene Woodell and her husband, Larry of Patrick, SC and Tammy Howell and her husband, Greg of Leesburg, GA, a son, William Trea of Bay City, MI, two step-daughters, Deborah Fisher and Tina Harmon, three step-sons, Justin Hart of Albany, GA, Petey Fisher and Tony Fisher, a sister, Laura Cunningham and her husband, Ed of Sterling, MI, sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Phyllis Trotter and Geneva Tipper Trea.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at Mathews Funeral Home.
