The funeral service of Earnest Wilburn Hogan, 83, of Albany, GA, who died Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at his residence, will be conducted Friday, July 8, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Warwick United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.
A native of TyTy, GA, Mr. Hogan had resided in Albany, GA since 1956. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation after forty six years of service and received the Commissioner's Merit Award in 1981. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Odom Hogan, Albany, GA, a daughter, Deborah Hogan Johnston, Leesburg, GA, two sons, Earnest Dale Hogan, Albany, GA, Dwayne Cullen Hogan (Shari B. Hogan), Baconton, GA, two grandchildren, Caroline Hogan Palmer, Derek Dwayne Hogan and one great-granddaughter, Aubrey Lynn Palmer.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
