Earl Wall

Earl Wall, 91, of Albany, GA, died March 2, 2016 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Kinsaul will officiate. Tri County Memorial Club will provided Masonic Rites. Interment will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery in Edison, GA with Military Honors provided by The United States Marine Corps Honor Guard.

A native of Grands Rapids, MI, Mr. Wall joined the United States Marine Corps in 1942 and retired in 1963. He moved to Albany, GA in 1984 and was employed as an Audio-Visual Equipment Specialist with the Marine Corps Logistic Base for fourteen years.

Mr. Wall was a member of Raleigh White Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class. He was raised a Master Mason in Manasseh Lodge # 182 F & AM in Manassas, VA and was currently a member of Albany Lodge # 24 F & AM. He was a member of the Tri County Memorial Club, a life member of Wimodausis Chapter # 106 O.E.S and was a life member of VFW # 2785 of Albany, GA.

Mr. Wall was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Mae Clenney Wall, three brothers, Lyle Wall, Jack Wall, and Kenneth Wall, two sisters, Lillian Ryder and Dorothy Shaw, and one granddaughter, Sandy Kofoed.

Survivors include one son, Patrick L. Wall and his wife Peggy of Greensboro, NC, two step-sons, T. Lee Cox and his wife Carolyn and James A. Cox and wife Liz, all of Albany, GA, two step-daughters, Sara Cox Kofoed and her husband Roy of Omaha, NE, Brenda Cox Wintersole of Albany, GA, one sister Betty Jean Kilts of Howard City, MI, seven grandchildren, Tammy Suess and her husband Greg, Heather Cox, Stephen Cox and his wife Leigh all of Albany, GA, Steven Kofoed and his wife Christy of Omaha, NE, Richard Wintersole of Elyria, OH, Jennifer Wall and her husband James DeRidder of Fenton, MI, and Tricia Wall and her husband, Garth Grahame of Costa Mesa, CA, and nine great grandchildren, Kathleen Watson, Max Kofoed, Justin Kofoed, Richie Wintersole, Joshua Wintersole, Morgan DeRidder, Shelby DeRidder, Drew DeRidder, and Gavin Grahame.

Family will receive friends one hour before the funeral service at Mathews Funeral Home.
