Earl K. Pace, 82, of Lee County, GA, died May 1, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:00 PM at The First Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Walker will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Jakin, GA, Mr. Pace grew up in Early County, GA and graduated from Early County High School in 1953. He and his new bride, Ann moved to Albany, GA in 1955 where he was employed with S. J. Curry Company. In 1976, Mr. Pace founded Standard Homes and was active until his retirement in 2003. He was a member and was presented the Life Time Award by the National Association of Home Builders of the United States. Mr. Pace was a member of The First Freewill Baptist Church of Albany where he served as Deacon Emeritus and was a member of the K & K Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-three years, Ann Wright Pace of Leesburg, GA, two sons, Alan Pace of Lee County, GA and Ken Pace and his wife, Marie of Albany, GA, three grandsons, Lee Pace, Cole Pace and Gavin Pace, a granddaughter, Amanda Baltzell, two great-granddaughters, Meredyth Baltzell and Elizabeth Baltzell and a sister and her husband, Doris and Robert Mueller of Santa Rosa Beach, FL.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at First Free Will Baptist Church.
