Earl Wallace Grubbs

Earl Wallace Grubbs, 89, of Albany, GA, died September 9, 2016 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Minister Faron Hamner will officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside cemetery.

A native of Sylvester, GA, Mr. Grubbs moved to Albany, GA in 1941. He was the owner and operator of Earl's Radiator Repair and was a member of Harvest Temple Church of God and attended the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Dillard and Ida Rose Johnson Grubbs, his first wife, Ernestine Creel Grubbs, four brothers, Harry Grubbs, Donald Grubbs, Carl Grubbs, and Richard Grubbs, and six sisters Clara Grubbs Calhoun Golden, Willie Grubbs Allen, Gladys Grubbs, Rhoda Grubbs Youngblood Brown, Alma Grubbs Little, and Nadine Grubbs Cravey Tumlin.

Survivors include his wife, Nida Harden Giddens Grubbs of Albany, GA, a son, Daryl Grubbs of Tampa, FL, a daughter, Linda Kedlinger of Alabaster, AL, three step-sons, Tannie Giddens, Jr. and his wife, Evelyn, Ronnie Harden Giddens and his wife, Sheila and Gary Giddens all of Sylvester, GA, two step-daughters, June Giddens Page and her husband, Bob of Jonesboro, GA and Jean Giddens Hall and her husband, Marion of Vienna, GA, a sister. Marie Grubbs Halstead, Leesburg, GA, twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral at Mathews Funeral Home.
