E. Wayne Davis

E. Wayne Davis, 76, of Albany, GA, died December 27, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Jeff Cook will officiate and the Elks Lodge # 713 will provide Burial Rites. A private interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Miller County, GA, Mr. Davis graduated from Miller County High School in 1957. He moved to Albany, GA in 1959 and resided there all of his adult life. He was previously employed with Miller Buick and had owned and operated Quality Paint and Body from 1972 until he retired in 1999. After his retirement, he was employed with Independent Adjusters. Mr. Davis was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, The Benevolent and Protective Order of The Elk Lodge # 713 and the Loyal Order of The Moose #1285.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce S. (Jo Jo) Davis of Albany, GA, a daughter and her husband, Elayne and Neil Adcox of Lake Blackshear, GA, a son and his wife, David and Aleisha Davis of Acworth, GA, a sister, Vicki Pearson of Oakfield, GA and two grandchildren, Cashin Davis and Hunter Davis both of Acworth, GA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ferrell Davis and a sister, Myrtice McDonald.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
