Dr. Irvin Hyman, 92, of Albany, GA., died Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 22, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Billy D. Hanna and Rev. Mark Walker will officiate. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
In 1986 Lucy and Dr. Hyman were married at the First Free Will Baptist Church in McAllen, Texas, pastor Rev. Larry Powell performed the ceremony. They have lived in Albany, Georgia since that time. Through the years they worked together, singing in many evangelistic services which he conducted. Their organization was called the “H Team” as they worked together in services for the Lord, preaching and singing.
Survivors include his step daughters Marilyn Lima of Nashville, Tennessee and Magdalene Lima-Fiallos and husband Gene of Winter Haven, FL., two step-grandsons, Gene and Edgar Fiallos, brother Howard Hyman and wife Betty, and a sister, Mable Hyman all of Florence South Carolina.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at First Free Will Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers those desiring may make memorials in memory of Dr. Hyman to First Free Will Baptist Church, 420 N. Westover Blvd, Albany, GA 31707 or International Missions of Free Will Baptists, P.O. Box 5002 Antioch, TN, 37011-5002.
