Dr. Oliver C. Sindersine, III

Dr. Oliver Champlin Sindersine, III, OD, 65, of Albany, GA, died April 19, 2014 at his residence. Memorial Services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Chuck Hall will officiate.

Born in Camilla, GA, Dr. Sindersine grew up in Newton and graduated from Baker County High School. He attended Georgia Southwestern University and Albany Junior College. He graduated with a Doctor of Optometry Degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He then served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy from 1973 to 1976. Dr. Sindersine resided and practiced in Albany, GA since 1977. He had been with Berg Eye Center for over 25 years. He loved to grill, was an avid fisherman and truly loved to spend time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn Hudgins Sindersine of Albany, GA, three sons, Oliver Champlin Sindersine IV and his wife, Dee of Albany, GA, Justin Richard Sindersine and his wife, Amy of Cumming, GA and Andrew Thomas Sindersine, Sr. and his wife, Jessica of Canton, GA, two brothers, James Victor Sindersine and his wife, Amy Ruth of Taylors, SC and Charles Gordon Sindersine of Forsyth, GA, his grandchildren, Kailynn Sindersine, Samantha Sindersine, Emma Grace Sindersine, Abigail Sindersine, Mackenzie Sindersine, Andrew Thomas Sindersine, Jr. and Champlin Sindersine.

The family will receive friends Monday from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home.
