Dr. Hugh L. Studdard

Dr. Hugh L. Studdard, 79, of Albany, GA, died March 20, 2018 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla and his son, Brett. He leaves behind his grandson, Drew; brother, Jerry; and sister, Sadie. Dr. Studdard was an educator for forty years, the last twenty-eight at Albany State University, where he was Professor of Exercise Physiology and Kinesiology. He was very proud of his students who achieved occupational success in later years and would thank him for demanding excellence in his classes. He was devoted to his family, enjoyed golf, reading, playing the piano and guitar, and his trips to casinos where he was a frequent winner. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are encouraged to do so to their favorite charities. Remains will be cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.
