Dorothy B. (Dot) Giddens

Dorothy B. (Dot) Giddens, 63, of Lee County, GA, died September 7, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Lee Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.

A native of Donalsonville, GA, born to the late General and Lola Whitaker Braswell, Mrs. Giddens moved to Albany, GA in 1952 and had resided in Lee County, GA since 1977. She was retired from the Lee County School System where she was employed as a school bus driver and cashier. Mrs. Giddens attended the Leesburg United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Giddens and a sister, Linda C. Kohler.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Reid and Donnie Giddens both of Lee County, GA, a brother and his wife, Garland and Bonnie Braswell of Worth County, GA and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Mathews Funeral Home.
