Dorothy L. "Dot" Fondren

Dorothy L. “Dot” Fondren, 68, of Albany, GA, died March 31, 2018 at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Robert Lewis will officiate. Mrs. Fondren was a native of Newton, NJ and was born on December 23, 1949 to the late Zera and Lydia Spargo. She lived in Albany and Lee County for many years before moving to Branford, FL in 1999. Mrs. Fondren was employed with Perry’s Dairy in Branford before she retired and moved back to Albany in 2013. She loved NASCAR, crossword puzzles and shopping. Survivors include her children, James and Dawn Spargo and Randy and April Spargo all of Lee County, GA, Tammy Spargo and her husband, Bobby Knight of Albany, GA and Douglas Spargo, Blountstown, FL, twenty four grandchildren and twenty seven great-grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thank you to Patricia Knight for her time and caring of Mrs. Fondren. Mrs. Fondren’s body will lie in state at Mathews Funeral Home from Wednesday until 9:00 AM on Friday.
