Dorothee (Dottie) Bridges

Dorothee Sandison (Dottie) Bridges, 55, of Leesburg, GA, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM at Gillionville Baptist Church. Rev. Tony Haefs will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Albany, GA, Dottie was born to the late Arthur and Dorothee Sandison. Dottie had been a resident of Dougherty County and Lee County all of her life. She was a 1974 graduate of Deerfield-Windsor School, attended Mercer University and received her RN from Darton College. She was formerly employed with Albany Community Hospice and Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and was currently employed with Crisp Regional Hospice. Dottie was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Gaulding.

Survivors include her husband, Tommy Bridges of Lee County, GA, a son Phillip Bridges of Lee County, GA, two sisters, Mary Frances Greene (Alfred) of Marietta, GA and Ardella (Robert) Montgomery of Redding, MA and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday one hour prior to the service at Gillionville Baptist Church.
