Doris Goodwin Fuller, 95, of Albany, GA, died Friday, July 17, 2015 at Pruitt Health Palmyra. Graveside memorial services will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 at 10:00 am at Floral Memory Gardens. Dr. William D. (Biff) Coker will officiate.
Mrs. Fuller was born in Isabel, SD where she attended school graduating in 1937. She came to Albany in 1941 where her husband was stationed at Turner Field. Bil Fuller died in 1984. Mrs. Fuller was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for fifty years where she served as an elder, moderator of the women of the church, taught Sunday school and served in other capacities. She received her Pre-School Certification through the University of Georgia and served as director and teacher at Covenant Presbyterian Kindergarten until her retirement. At the time of her death she was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Marietta Goodwin, two husbands, Bil Fuller and Carl Fowler, a son, Stephen Fuller, a sister, Ruth Kotterman and a brother, David Goodwin.
Survivors include two sons, David Fuller and his wife Angela of Albany, GA and Don Fowler of Fitzgerald, GA., two daughters, Debbie Hayes and her husband Bruce of Leesburg, GA and Phyllis Heist and her husband Pete of Jacksonville, FL., a daughter in law, Felicia Shockley of Sarasota, FL., two nieces and a nephew of CA and a dear and loving friend Sarah Lee.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.
