Doris Willis Croyle

Doris Willis Croyle, 71, of Albany died Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Phoenix Senior Living. Her memorial service will be Sunday, June 3, at 2:00 PM at the Mathews Funeral Home.

A native of Albany, Mrs. Croyle graduated with a degree from Georgia Baptist School of Nursing.  She spent her career working as a Registered Nurse in many capacities including surgery, long-term care and hospice nursing until she retired in 2012.

She was an active member of Lake Carroll Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida until she became ill. She will be remembered for her caring, giving spirit and her quick ability to laugh and find humor in most situations.

Survivors include her children, Lyn Croyle, Astoria, NY, Scott Croyle, San Francisco, CA, Timothy Croyle, Hiram, GA, grandchildren, Jake Croyle, Bennett Croyle, Alexandria Croyle, sisters, Reba Stewart, Albany, Retha Stewart, Vidalia, GA, Linda McDaniel, Tampa, FL, Brenda Bryant, Albany, brothers, Harvey Willis, Sautee Nacoochee, GA, James Warren Willis and Sherman Willis of Albany.

The family requests donations to Phoebe Hospice, 320 Foundation Lane, Albany, GA 31707, or the Alzheimer’s Association, 315 2nd Street W, Tifton, GA 31794, www.alz.org, in lieu of flowers.
