Donna Sue Ferrell

Donna Walters Ferrell, 56, of Albany, passed away, Wednesday February 14, 2018, at her residence.  Memorial services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

A native of Opelika, AL, Ms. Ferrell resided in Albany since 1974.  Ms. Ferrell graduated from Westover High School in 1979. She then attended the University of Georgia.

She loved each moment she spent with her family and friends.   Her infectious personality and bright smile greeted everyone who walked in the front door and made everyone feel like part of the family.  Ms. Ferrell especially loved nurturing children and watching her three sons compete in sports as they grew up. From working on the sidelines of t-ball games, she met many friends who recall her lively spirit. She is remembered as a selfless, compassionate, and kind soul who saw beauty in everyone.

Survivors include her children John Kenneth Ferrell, III, Wesley Thomas Ferrell, both of Albany, GA, Donavan Macon Ferrell, of Americus, GA, and her mother Martha W. Peterson of Albany, GA.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
