Donald Wayne (Don) Booth, 55, of Albany, GA died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye and Dave Swanson will officiate.
A native of Camilla, GA, Don grew up in Meigs, GA and had resided in Albany since 1974. He was a general superintendent with Cliff Creek Builders and traveled extensively with his job. He supervised the construction of many resorts including Paradise Island, Bahamas and Dubai and Greg Norman’s Four Season’s Resort in Exuma. He was a member of the Harley Owners Group.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Banks Booth, a brother Larry Booth and his mother and father-in-law, Bill and Helena Banks all of Albany, GA, a sister-in-law and her husband, Betty and Dwayne Suggs of Lee County, GA and three nephews, James Booth, Matthew Suggs and Andre Suggs.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at Mathews Funeral Home.
