Dillan Jack Spell, 26 , of Butler, GA passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, GA.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dillan Jack Spell, born on November 6, 1997, the son of DJ and Michelle Spell. Dillan was a beloved son, brother, and friend, known for his infectious spirit and unwavering kindness. He attended Taylor County High School, where he made lasting memories and friendships that would carry him through life.
Dillan began his blue-collar career as a mechanic, showcasing his natural talent for fixing things and his love for hands-on work. His passion led him to the oil rigs, where he found fulfillment in the tough yet rewarding lifestyle that came with the job. Dillan was a hard worker, dedicated to his craft, but he also knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. After getting to live life on the oil rigs for a while, he made his way back home where he began driving a big truck for Starling Axle Service.
An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Dillan loved nothing more than riding his Harley on open roads, feeling the wind and the freedom that came with it. He also had a deep love for music and the outdoors. Him and his daddy spent every moment they could on the water or in the woods. He cherished the moments spent with family and friends, often being the life of the party, bringing laughter and joy wherever he went. Dillan had a unique gift for connecting with others; he never met a stranger, and those fortunate enough to know him quickly learned that to know him was to love him.
A free-spirited soul trapped in a young man's body, Dillan lived life unapologetically. He embraced adventure, cherished relationships, and left a mark on everyone he encountered. His laughter will be missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Dillan is survived by his Mama and daddy, DJ and Michelle Spell of Butler, GA, his best friend and sister, Cayleigh Jewel (Larry Jr.) Starling of Butler, GA, his grandparents, Jack and Kathy Spell of Butler, GA and Bobby and Roxanne Dixon of Gordon, GA, his friends that became his brothers, Trey Price, Casey Posey, Jaylen Jenkins, Clint Harris, Jordan Shiver, Em Jenkins, Zach Harmon, and Jake Goodwin, his girl best friend, Leann Reynolds and his girls for life, Gypsy Rose and Novalynn Kitchens along with many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Turners Chapel Freewill Baptist church in Butler, GA on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Paul Gardner a lifelong friend of the family will officiate. A celebration of life will follow at his parents house in his honor, where we will share stories, laughter, and the love that Dillan brought into our lives.
