Dewie Brown Bethea

Dewie Brown Bethea, 92, of Leesburg, died October 20, 2011. Visitation will be held at Mathews Funeral Home on Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 23 at 2:00 PM at East View Cemetery in Shellman, GA. Rev. Ken Chancellor will officiate.

Mrs. Bethea was born in Coleman, GA, daughter of the late John C. Brown and Beulah Moore Brown. She resided in Orlando, FL for fifty years and had been a resident of Lee County for 19 years. Mrs. Bethea was a homemaker and a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Thomas Bethea. Her survivors include two daughters, Jackie B. Duncan and Beckey Michele Bethea both of Leesburg, GA; sisters, Elizabeth Brown Taylor of Cuthbert, GA and Rebecca Brown Hamrick of Ft Gaines, GA, one granddaughter, Misty Haynes (Russel) of Kissimmee, FL, three great-grandchildren; Andrew Jon Haynes of Norfolk, VA; Jesse Jon Hayes and Donny Lee Haynes of Kissimmee, FL, one sister-in-law, Joy Glass of Albany, GA.
