Deborah "Debbie" Rosier

Deborah "Debbie" Rosier passed away at age 74 surrounded by her loved ones on March 21, 2024 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital after a short, hard battle with cancer. Her family will receive friends Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Mathews Funeral Home from 2PM until 4PM.
 
Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Howard, Jr and Arlene Howard and her brother Curtis Howard III.
 
She is survived by her children and their partners, Sean Rosier of York, PA, Jamie Rosier and John Fabian of Albany, GA, and Angie Rosier and Robert Creek of Apache Junction, AZ, and her brother Darvin Howard and Lonna of York, PA, eight grandchildren, Leanne, Charlina, Samantha, Hannah, Sienna, Brooke, Chase, and Amber, and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved pets Bubba, Trixie, Jasper, and Scarlett.
 
She was a native of York, PA.  She moved to Georgia in 1985. In 1988, she began her career as an Administrative Specialist with the Albany Fire Department.  Over the next 35+ years, her small family of 3 children grew to the many men and women of the fire department.  Many called her "Momma" or "Granny."  She took great pride in taking care of them.
 
Throughout her life, Debbie loved rescuing dogs and cats, crossword puzzles, video games, Tik Tok videos, cooking for family gatherings, and was a collector of firefighter memorabilia, flamingos and anything purple.  She knew how to find a good bargain and also loved to surprise her firefighters with their favorite snacks (She was their "Sugar" Momma).
 
Her sassiness, straightforwardness, infectious laugh, her words of encouragement and hugs will truly be missed.

You will ALWAYS have a Cherry Dr Pepper and a spot on the back dock!
