David Lee Reed

David Lee Reed, 74, of Albany, GA, died Friday, October 11, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.

A native of Alliance, OH, Mr. Reed had resided in Albany since 1957. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was retired from Flint Office Furniture. Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his father, E.C. Reed, a brother, Terry Reed, and a granddaughter, Megan Palmer.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sandra Reed of Albany, GA, two daughters, Robin Bartlett (Daniel) of Leesburg, GA and Sharon Reed of Albany, GA, his mother, Margaret Reed of Alliance, OH, three grandchildren, Samantha Bartlett and Chandler Bartlett both of Leesburg, GA and Jason Palmer of Cade, SC, a brother, Jerry Reed of Alliance, OH, and his beloved dog, PeeWee.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 13, 2013, at Mathews Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
