David Britt Knight

David Britt Knight, 40, of Leesburg, GA, died Saturday, January 30, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Gillionville Baptist Church. Rev. James Emery and Rev. Marsha Emery will officiate. Pallbearers will be Keith Posey, Marvin Denny, Brannon Letchworth, Mark Brown, Lewis DeAngelis, and Greg Coleman, all employees of Art Sign Co. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Albany, GA and a lifelong resident, Mr. Knight graduated from Riverview Academy and attended Darton College. He was an entrepreneur and the owner-operator of Art Sign Co. since 2001. Britt loved his family and many friends who he treated like family and he enjoyed flying.

He was of the Baptist faith and preceded in death by his father, Edward (Ed) Knight.

Survivors include a son, Aiden W. Knight and a daughter, Hadley N. Knight both of Leesburg, GA,
his mother, Mabel Bridges Knight, Albany, GA, three brothers, Lamar Knight, McDonough, GA, John Knight, Albany, GA and Chad Safrit, Washington, GA, two sisters, Melissa Smith, West Point, GA and DeAnn Cynamon, Charlotte, NC.

The family will receive friends, Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
