Danny David Yeatts of Lee Co., GA, departed this world to be with the lord on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, GA while surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Living Hope Fellowship. Pastor Sam and Sandra Cook will officiate. A private interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.
Danny was born in Waycross, GA to the late Taylor David Yeatts and Amy Lue Yeatts. The family later moved to Albany where he remained until 2001 when he made Leesburg, GA his new residence. After high school, Danny worked for Sears and later Firestone and then went to work for MCLB and remained for 22 years and retired in 2012. Danny had a strong work ethic and was loyal and devoted, taking great pride in his work. He had a passion for rock and roll music and loved to play and sing which led him to start his own band in the 60's. His favorite group was the Beatles. He was known by his family and friends as being strongly devoted, protective and determined to be a role model for those he loved. He was kind hearted and had a sense of humor that everyone loved about him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a younger brother, Larry Lamar Yeatts, Pensacola, FL. Danny was devoted to his church. He enjoyed traveling, especially to visit family members. Danny has joined other family members in heaven and we believe our "joy in the morning" will be when we all meet on that beautiful shore.
