Danny Mack Temples, 61, of Albany, GA, died Thursday, August 4, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Blakely City Cemetery with Military Honors. Rev. Richard Gill will officiate.

Mr. Temples was born April 22, 1950 in Blakely, GA, he was raised and lived in Albany most of his life. He graduated from Dougherty High School in 1968. Mr. Temples served in The United States Marine Corps and served two tours of duty in Vietnam and was discharged with the rank of Sergeant.

He attended East Carolina University and graduated cum laude from Georgia Southwestern College in 1975. Mr. Temples worked as a business manager at several automotive dealerships in the Albany and Fitzgerald areas. He was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and a former member of Central United Methodist Church in Fitzgerald, GA. Mr. Temples was preceded in death by his father, Ashley Hill Temples of Blakely, GA and his mother, Willie Pearl Granger Carraway, of Albany, GA

Survivors include his three children, Laura Ellsworth and her husband, Ryan of Leesburg, GA, John Temples and Julia Temples of Albany, GA, the mother of his children, Georgia Thomas Temples, three grandchildren, Evelyn Danielle Temples, Jackson Pierce Ellsworth and Griffin Ross Ellsworth, his devoted step-father, Donald Carraway of Albany, GA, a brother, Edward Temple and his wife, Marianne of Albany, GA, a sister, Donna Melton and her husband, Bruce of Elloree, SC, his brother, Jay Temples and his wife, Halie of Blakely, GA, his nephews, Scott Temple, Alex Temple and Jeff Temple all of Albany, GA and Cory Bell of Leesburg, GA, his niece Kristen Fortuna of Virginia Beach, VA.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Mathews Funeral Home.
