Danny Ray Shelton

Danny Ray Shelton, 62, of Doerun, GA., died Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Ministries. Rev. Chris Turner will officiate.

A native Cleveland, TN., Mr. Shelton has lived in the Albany area since 1982. Danny was employed at Tri Max Construction where he worked as a welder. Mr. Shelton was a faithful member of Lighthouse Ministries and taught the adult Sunday school class until his health made it were he couldn’t. He was preceded in death by his son David Ray Shelton.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Shelton, his children, Danny Ray Shelton, Jr., Deidra Shelton, Crystal Watson (Bobby), and Kevin Scott (Keri), his grandchildren, Tiffany, Bubba, Wesley, Kaitlyn, Kolton and Wyatt.

The family will receive friends following the service at Lighthouse Ministries 2320 S. Liberty Expressway, Albany, GA 31721.
